Cuban cigars with a symphony of creamy and unique flavors tinged with a hint of spice. Medium-bodied Hoyo de Monterrey Epicure No. 2 cigars reward you with a smooth and somewhat complex tobacco texture. Completely handmade, these underrated Habanos may not be as strong as other comparable robustos, however Epicure No. 2s deliver one of the best smokes around.
Exceptionally made, their thin and supple caramel-colored wrappers are quite enticing. The draw is perfect and the burn amazingly straight right to the end. These Hoyo de Monterrey cigars need to be smoked slowly or else they get hot, and this will ruin the taste.
In general, Hoyo de Monterrey Epicure No. 2s are quite sweet, with heavy creamy "twang". At varying times, the smoke is infused with rich notes of leather, earth, wood and coffee. And every draw delivers smooth flavors that roll around the tastebuds. The expected Cuban spiciness is very subtle in these cigars.
Although Hoyos are, by their nature, among the milder Cuban brands, these Epicure No. 2s don’t lack any flavor. To fully appreciate them, some aging is required – at least a year.
