Cuaba Cuban Cigars
The second of two new Cuban brands introduced during the 1990s, Cuaba cigars are beautiful figurados - traditional Havana cigars. These handmade, mild-to-medium flavored cigars stand out with their pleasant aroma and enticing dark brown color.
Their figurado shape – where both ends of the cigar are tapered to a point - was very popular with cigar connoiseurs all over the world up until the mid-20th century. The shape was gradually phased out by the 1950s, replaced by Corona shapes that are can be rolled much easier and in larger quantities.
Through Cuaba, Habanos S.A. decided to revive this old cigar shape.
Cuaba cigars are manufactured in the Romeo y Julieta factory, and have a very similar taste to Romeo y Julieta cigars, though slightly milder. The Romeo y Julieta factory has a long tradition of making the figurado cigar shape.
