La Gloria Cubana Cuban Cigars


Introduction

La Gloria Cubana Cuban cigars are among the few brands where the range is completely handmade. Available in a few countries, this very old marque produced at the Partagas factory offers connoiseurs superior-quality Havanas that are uncommonly spicy in a small, but exquisite range.

For some time following the Cuban Revolution in 1959, production had ceased on “The Glory of Cuba”. It wasn’t until the early 1970s that the brand was resurrected. The cigars being manufactured this time are of much better quality than the original fuller-bodied version.

Sold in varnished 8-9-8 boxes, they are a very popular export brand. However, their limited production makes them very difficult to find and threatens to lead to their total absence in certain countries like Great Britain.

La Gloria Cubana cigars were first launched in 1885 by the Sociedad Cabañas y Castro.


The Flavors of La Gloria Cubana Cigars

La Gloria Cubana are medium-to-full bodied cigars. Because they are made at the same factory, they taste very much like Partagas cigars, but not as earthy or robust. Still, these Cuban creations deliver a smooth sweet flavors and aromas through a construction and burn that are par excellence.

La Gloria Cubana cigars have a highly complex profile, underpinned by a heavy spicy and peppery texture. Some of the more evident flavors include caramel, honey, coffee, leather, and a slight floral hints. It’s are often said these cigars develop a salty taste when they are aged.

La Gloria Cubana cigars are mostly available in long, slender sizes. They share many of the same qualities as El Rey del Mundo and Rafael Gonzalez cigars. The three brands make up a trio of well-presented, mid sized cigars that offer an excellent quality-price ratio.

They deliver have a more floral spiciness than the Medaille d'Or No. 2s. Medium-bodied, very smooth with a long finish, they’re ideal after-lunch smokes.

This La Gloria Cubana Medaille d'Or No. 2 cigars have a medium-bodied, earthy, fruity and slightly peppery flavors. A highly prized vitola, their exceptionally smooth character and underlying sweetness makes them one of the best from the brand. Very enjoyable Lonsdale cigars.

La Gloria Cubana Medaille d'Or No. 3 cigars are long, slender panetelas that are easy to smoke. A very complex taste with traces of wood and spice at first, later turn to creamy cocoa. Never overwhelming in either aroma or flavor, their elegant nature makes them a favorite with cigar aficionados.
