Quintero Cuban Cigars

Introduction

Quintero Cuban cigars are a primarily machine-bunched/hand-finished line. First introduced in 1924, tobacco farmer Augustin Quintero and his brothers opened a small cigar factory in Cienfuegos, near the Remedios tobacco-growing region of Cuba. The success of his cigars resulted in Quintero becoming a major export by the 1940s.

Since its founding, and to this day, they are favorite among the Spanish smokers and are equally popular in Germany.

Manufactured in Havana in the El Rey del Mundo factory, this is one of the few Cuban brands not to have started there. The packaging of Quintero cigars still makes reference to the company's origins in Cienfuegos.

The Flavors of Quintero Cigars

Quintero cigars are medium-to-full flavoured, without being too complex. Many cigar lovers have noted that they are mild when compared to other Cuban brands.

They possess the traditional Cuban flavors -  rich, smooth notes of spices, pepper, honey and toasted tobacco. They also have unusually strong earthy and grassy tones.

Quintero Cigars Range

Although production still continues on Quintero cigars, the line has been reduced to six machine-made and/or hand-finished sizes. Many of the sizes were discontinued during the 1990s.

Quintero Brevas cigars are medium-to-strong bodied smokes that possess a smooth, distinguished spiciness loved by cigar smokers. These cigars are great for any kind of occasion and go well with coffee.
